The Rev. Louie Giglio’s reported sermon in the mid 1990s, seems to have been based on the Bible passages, among others may be, of 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Acts 4:19. So, the Reverend might have been asking the people with a contrary position “whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge……”

He was probably asked to step down because his superstitious nonsense isn’t wanted or needed on the subject. It’s time to cut the crap, America, and accept the fact that the GLBT community are citizens with rights that won’t be silenced for much longer; even mixed race people won the right to marry against the will of ‘Christ’.

Giglio says, “Due to a message of mine that has surfaced from 15-20 years ago, it is likely that my participation, and the prayer I would offer, will be dwarfed by those seeking to make their agenda the focal point of the inauguration,” and give the impression that he didn’t mean those words from 15-20 years ago. And yet, does not apologize for them or admit they were and are inappropriate and hurtful. On whose agenda was his focal point?

The problem with most of you posters out here is that you just don’t ‘read and research’ enough. Because if you did….you would know and understand the history of the GOP and how this Party tilted itself very far to the “right wing’ back in 1964 when they pursued their ‘Southern strategy’. That is when an ‘element’ of the Party of ‘moral, inflexible, uncompromising absolutists’ decided to hi-jack the Party with an ‘extreme brand of conservatism’…and now 50 years later – look at the results. A Party in complete disarray because of their ‘pandering’ to a mentality like this close minded Pastor represents. And as long as the GOP continues to allow themselves to be ‘hi-jacked’ by this close minded, inflexible, non-adaptable uncompromising ‘mentality’…they will continue to have a ‘huge mess’….and hurt our nation as a result. I have no idea how they can ever put this ‘genie’ back in the bottle.

I love how this article fails to mention why he was chosen. He is a tireless fighter of human trafficking. He saves thousands of lives but because one group finds him offensive he is out? When did we become such slaves to people not being offended? Why are gay rights gestapo calling all the shots now? I have no problem with gay marriage and the like, but the heavy fisted tactics of the gay organizations are not helping their cause at all.
