Private expenses are not covered by the taxpayer on Presidential holidays. So the cost of the accommodations, restaurants, sight seeing, etc. are all covered by the family. Additionally, the President and his family have to reimburse the government for the amount it would cost a non-president and family to fly to the destination. This information is easily available through research.
