The republicans wanted “smaller government” and they have it. 1/3 of our government is missing in action. The Congress is controlled by the lobbyists on K-street and especially the gun manufacturers represented by the NRA. It doesn’t matter what the majority of Americans want, all that matters is that the campaign contributions and perk money keeps flowing.

The only way anything significant is going to get done must be through the legal system. Lawsuits instituted by the victims of these assault weapons will do much more than anything done by Congress.

Lawsuits made the tobacco industry be more responsible and they would do the same for the gun manufacturers.
