Two years ago I took my family to Hawaii for a nice vacation.It cost me $6,000 for a family of four and we went for a week. This year we did not take a vacation because we did not have the money to do so.Just like our Country doesn’t have the money to send our President on his $7,000,000 Hawaii vacation. If Obama needs a $7,000,000 vacation I have no problem with it as long as HE pays for it with HIS money and not our money. I paid for my vacation with my money and so do all Americans.
I’m for the return of common sense in Government.

Tmferretti; FYI, to pass a bill over the president’s objections requires a two-thirds vote in each Chamber. Historically, Congress has overridden fewer than ten percent of all presidential vetoes.That’s 67 in the Senate and 290 in the House. Not just 60 in the Senate.

II hope the President does what he says he’ll do and stay out of these future fiscal cliff negotiations. Make the Congress do its job as the Constitution specifies and not have him do it for them.

John Boehner should be negotiating with the democrats in the House and McConnell doing the same thing in the Senate. Just because these republican idiots in Congress behave like children doesn’t mean they need the President to act as the adult.

Once the Senate and House have compromised on the bill, the president will either sign it or he won’t. If the Congress thinks the bill is so great they can muster 60 votes in the Senate to override the veto.

I am so thrilled and absolutely DELIGHTED that the Republicans were so brutally crushed by the outcome of this “Fiscal Cliff” fabrication. This was almost as enjoyable as watching Obama get re-elected for a 2nd term. Obama will always be remembered as one of the most beloved of all of our Presidents. He is paving the way for yet another Democrat victory in 2016.

I think we should spend the taxpayer dollar on an Air Force jet across the Pacific so the President doesn’t spoil his vacation. After all, how could he have known this bill was coming up? Obama fly back? Hell no, it’s his vacation.

That’s just a one day gain. You haven’t begun to see what the real effects of this bill will be on the economy, jobs, etc. The bill is a disaster.
