It wasn't us who for four years said the "debt isn't the problem government spending is". We never mentioned "small government" and how our grandchildren were going to be destitute. It's the President who manufactured this sequester on his own that really wants these cuts; even thought he can't produce any bill, only the Congress can. If these cuts hurt our economy and defense, blame the President. Why aren't you republicans rejoicing? Now your grand children can go back to playing ball and flying their kites and not be so depressed because of the debt. For four years the republicans said they were worried about the debt and deficit. It was just an excuse to keep the economy stagnant in hopes that would be a factor to ensure the Presidents defeat. Then, to them, the unimaginable happened, The President won. If Mitt would have won, all these spending cuts would have went by the wayside and the republicans would have given him all the money he wanted to give to the truffle eaters , thinking it would somehow trickledown. Now the republicans are caught in their own trap and are denying that they pushed for these cuts. They are looking for anyone else to blame it on; they are running their usual con job. This will backfire also. Now it seems the debt and deficit isn't their worry, it’s the President who wants these cuts. Flip-flopping must be a genetic thing with the GOP.
