CND FOX, is Bush the man of your dreams or something? You liberals are fixated and deeply attached to President Bush. He's been out of office for nearly 5 years now. Give it up! Obama is doing a far worse job than Bush ever could have done. Just imagine how Obama would have handled the 9/11 attacks of 2001. He would have blamed it all on some lame youtube video like he did with the 9/11 Benghazi attack last Sept!
Obama asked for and got the sequester plan he wanted!
In case you forgot, here is what Obama said shortly after he signed the sequester bill.
“Already some in Congress are trying to undo these automatic spending cuts. My message to them is simple: No. I will veto any effort to get rid of those automatic spending cuts to domestic and defense spending.” “There will be no easy off ramps on this one,” ~ Barack Obama September 2011
Go ahead, blame it all on Bush again! LOL, LOL, LOL!

SINKING OF THE USA...LOl..so now Bob Woodward is the 'spokesman' for the GOP...instead of 'fat man, Rush'? LOL...wonder why the Party hasn't 'developed' its own politician spokesperson for them? Maybe they are in too much disarray because of their civil war? BTW...read a book entitled "Family of Secrets" - its about the Bush dynasty...and then come back and tell me what you think about "Bob Woodward". Let's just say....this man has always had an 'agenda'...secret or otherwise.

Republicans used to be against slavery. Just watch Steve Spielberg’s“ new movie, LINCOLN. Republican’s led the fight against slavery during the Civil War. Most people don’t know that important fact. Democrats were all for slavery and still are today. Most people don’t know that fact either. Today Democrats are all for the “slavery” of public debt, which they are loading upon to us, our children and our children’s children. I thought Republicans would fight this new modern form of slavery. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case. In their very public displays of political impotence, Republicans continue to cave in to Obama’s efforts to disarm and to enslave the American people. All we see from Republicans is capitulation followed by tears. Leadership is all about getting results, like Lincoln did in 1865. The nation needs leadership now to fight this growing “slavery of debt”. Democrats embraced slavery during the Civil War and they continue to embrace it today in the form of debt —- in every name but their own. Nothing has changed except for Republican failed leadership. Make no mistake. Debt IS slavery.

Yes, you are correct. Debt is very MUCH slavery.

The Republicans do NOT want to cave in to Obama. The problem is they only have the House of Representatives. Their power is very limited. I am sure that even if the Republicans during LINCOLN'S time only had the House and Lincoln were not the President, they would not be able to end slavery then either.

I still have confidence, though that this situation will change.

As good old Tmferretti would say, Obama's party might be "eating crow" in 2014 or 2016.

There are a lot of people on this blog who call themselves independents, neither republican or democrat that continuously slams the President and support every republican fart that happens. No matter what they try to portray themselves as, they are republican

It makes me annoyed when they try to con others that they are moderate or centrists.

So you're saying it is NOT possible to be a moderate and be against Obama's policies? That's quite a bigoted thing to say for someone who is supposed to be against bigotry. Yes, there are MANY moderates who are against Obama's policies. Even the most left-leaning Republicans in the Senate, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins voted AGAINST Obamacare.

Is it even the LEAST bit possible that Obama... and YOU... are SO far left that even a moderate looks like a conservative?

If these cuts go through and the economy improves and the unemployment rates go down, then we democrats will have to eat crow and admit the republicans were right.

On the other hand, if the economy is hurt and unemployment increases, it’s the republicans who, if they are honest and if they possess some integrity need to take the blame. It’s as simple as that.
Trying to duck the fact that cutting spending is a republican priority is dishonest.

The Reagan administration made many cuts, although NOT in the Department of Defense, and the economy DID improve. Further, Bill Clinton was asked if he could name a country that has taxed and spent its way back into prosperity and he, himself, couldn't name a single one.

If there was ever a time when you ultra-liberals should have "eaten crow" it was THEN.

I also find it interesting after five years of OBAMA's taxing and spending and STILL, unemployment is at the highest rate since the Depression and even HIGHER than during the Bush years, you are not "eating crow" NOW. Instead you spend the last five years blaming Bush.

If YOU were "honest" and if YOU "possessed some integrity", you'd be taking the blame for the last five years. as you say, "It’s as simple as that."

No, the Republicans are NOT trying to duck the fact that cutting spending is a republican priority. However, the Republicans would NOT target the Department of Defense. That is an ultra-LIBERAL priority based on the idea during the Vietnam War and during the Carter administration that America is the enemy.
