The biggest problem with these shooting accidents is the attitude of each person. There needs to be a deep valuation of human life either through good parenting and church teachings or through personal feelings about other human beings being as important as them selves. Unles we quickly undertake to start teaching our families to respect people's lives and talk issues out first and have a some what open mind then this attitude will continue for decades to come.

“We are here to assure Mississippians that we are going to continue to fight for their Second Amendment rights to bear arms,” Gunn said at the press conference.

They keep forgetting the "well regulated militia" part of the second amendment.

If the state of Mississippi was really proposing an educated workforce, they wouldn't be trying to make the gun industry more paranoid to get their business. Any educated business advice to a changing industry like the gun industry would be that of adaptation. Maybe the gun industry should redirect their product focus to "personal safety and home protection.". They could diversify their products to counter any future drop in sales from changes in the political environment. Gun safety would benefit the industry. Make a product line to address the safe storage of guns in homes so guns wouldn't get into the wrong hands. Make other home safety products -- home surveillance, alarm systems, pepper sprays, other defense products. They could invest in electronic home protection; it's a fast growing industry. Guns aren't the only way to protect an individual.
