The GOP’s plan is just more flash and no substance from the GOP. Their obsession with flash and no substance is what got them Sarah Palin as a VP candidate. They are making the same mistake again by thinking all they need to do is spruce up their image when what they really need to do is join the 21st Century. I had to laugh at all the talk during the CPAC conference about being a more inclusive party. They couldn’t even bring themselves to include people like Chris Christie in their get together. What a bunch of losers.

There may be a war going on between the factions within the Repub party, but it is because of the slide left that has happened over the past century. The progressive left has infiltrated the rep party with malice and forethought, forcing it left, and helping the left dumb our children down so that no one will know. Unfortunately, they jumped ahead a decade or two, and pushing it FORWARD faster than the next couple of generations can become so unaware of the beauty of our Constitution. The illustration here in the comment section is perfect, because it displays the depth of misery one will believe about others. I try every day to believe that leftists and progressives are not really what they say they are, and that they believe in the concept of America, but more and more I cannot make that connection. To say that any one who is conservative is evil is just plain evil. What you have done by commenting with regard to conservatives being greedy and dems and libs only being philanthropic is a bald faced lie and is such demagoguing nonsense.
Conservatism is a good message, a responsible message, a message that can put us back on track to doing the right thing for our country. What hate there is here!
For those of you who demand tolerance, you are demonstrating the most intolerant level of hatred I have seen in a long time. You think about that, and you think about how long people who are responsible for their own actions will turn away from supporting those who would undermine a great country. Why arent your standards higher? I love a sign on/off sig line of a conservative radio host Andrew Wilkow, “we dont lower our standards so up yours” could be taken two ways.. from me to you, take it however you like. Shame on you all for asking America to lower its standard.

LOL…I have been listening to the so called experts and pundits talk about what s wrong with the GOP and so many of them completely miss the point of what is going on and what has occured in this Party. They all want to compare it to 2004 and what the Dems went through or to a time before ‘Bubba was elected. And I’m telling you that is WRONG. This party, the GOP is totally bereft of any type of intelligence, intellect or awareness of what needs to be done in the 21st century. And that is because they have focused for the 4 decades on their “Southern swing” and picked up so many ignorant and extreme populists, racists and rednecks and myopic religious wing nuts . And that comprises their BASE. And now they are in the midst of a civil war that has cost them the leadership of many oftheir best progressive moderate thinkers. It is NOT comparable to what the Democrats went through. Because the democratic side of the ledger has always had better educated, intelligent minds…in their ‘base’ And the GOP..cannot control the ‘intractable minds’ in theirs. And finally…it might just split this Party…in two.

Kerry49 – Funny but I was once given a great description between a wealthy Democrat and Wealthy Republican: The Democrat wants to return to the community and share expertise so that others will learn and follow; the Republican wants to keep it and puts it offshore so that NO ONE else can share in their success unless they pay for it. Prime examples – Bill Gates vs. Donald Trump. Need I say more?

That’s all you need to know right there. Democrats are “authentic” and “part of the community”. Republicans are going to insert paid consultants into these communities to try to develop some credibility with the poor, with blacks and hispanics, with women, and with asians.

The fact that this is “outreach” is what is killing Republicans. Democrats don’t do “outreach” to minorities and the working poor. They are the minorities and working poor. And as more of the working people in this country are falling into poverty while politically connected CEOs and executives move the gap wider and wider, Republicans base will get smaller and smaller.

Mr. Piebus, you picked your side. Unless the GOP is willing to jettison the cause of multi-gazillionairs against the working people, then you’ll have to make do with their money and support and buy as much comfort as that brings you.

Yessir, Kerry49, you and the GOP keep right on saying stuff like this. You have some strangely twisted logic when you think you can insult people and then expect them to vote for you. You keep being told over and over and OVER that your MESSAGE isn’t one that people want and they will NOT vote for you. You’re in such denial, you think it is “brainwashing” that is keeping the voters away in droves from your party.

Personally, I wish you’d keep on thinking and saying that. It will just keep the Democrats in power longer to undue the damage that Republican policies have done the past 30 years whenever they’ve gotten in power.

So talk about those brainwashed, “low intellect”, non-white, non-male voters just like that…and get your a$$ handed to you in elections for the foreseeable future.

Well now that the CPAC burlesque show, including Palin’s “rack” and “Gulp”, and the Cruz “wacko bird” has closed it doors it’s time for the GOP to get it and listen to the adults in the party. If the GOP doesn’t get real and face the world of the 21st. century it’s over for the republicans. The republicans will never win another presidency if it continues to be the party that has no interest in helping minorities, the poor and middle class and continues to consider them as well as women 2nd.class citizens
