Welfare for the rich. Much easier to have an offshore account, pay no taxes, and hide in luxury in Mayfair or.La Jolla. @ Kate: yeah, just ask those who stripped Trillions out of the U.S. economy over the past decade without creating NEW jobs or NEW technologies. He could have given his speech while remaining at the White House. The first lady showed that the technology to do such is in place. With the President's sequester in place it is really to dangerous to fly. The President to travel by rail to promote the need for high speed rail. I want to know how all this fits into the bottom line. It is thPresident's's goal fothehe federal government to start posting surpluses by 2015 but even his own White House is predicting that at best the President's goal will not be achieved and that the federal government will continue to post huge deficits for at least another decade. The President needs to provide a detailed financial plan as to how his goal can be achieved. What he fails to mention is that the vehicles will cost $20,000 dollars more to purchase and $1000's/year more for maintenance and repair in addition to the $1000's more per year in fuel costs as a result of delayed exploration as a result of limited/delays to offshore drilling and the Keystone pipeline!
