CLINTONCRAT

I agree with you on only one point. Your right it should be fair. If two people live together for a period of years, or have children, whatever wealth was accumulated together should be distributed fairly.

Even if two straight men or women lived together and both contributed to finacial situation, if one dies the other has a right to what he/she helped create.

As I said, it’s up to God to judge. You can't talk someone out of being gay, God made them that way; it’s like trying to talk someone out of being tall or short. I'm sure he'd be torqued off if what he made was discriminated against.

My religion says it’s wrong to practice homosexuality but it also says it's wrong to judge. If my son was gay I'd have to accept him as he is, even though I don't agree with his practices.

Christ taught forgiveness, acceptance, and humility as well as the love of the poor, sick and less fortunate, he even embraced criminals and prostitutes although he didn't condone their lifestyle. If he walked the earth today he would be considered a communist rabble rouser.

That’s why I don't understand these Evangelical right wing Christians. A Christian is a follower of Christ. I think if they took an honest look at their positions and attitudes they'd have a hard time calling themselves Christians.

These stories are news? When are we going to learn what really happened in Bengazi? ABC, your're nothing but an entertainment network. And the media had to do a study to learn why they are loosing readership and advertising dollars. Look in the mirror for the answer.

TMFERRETTI, WELLDIRECTED: now we're talking! For example, if you die, you get to give all your money, no matter how much it is, to your spouse, tax-free. However, if you give it to your children, it gets estate-taxed! How fair is that? I'm just using this as an example because this is how it all began, as a matter of fact; some gay guy didn't get his buddy's estate tax-free. If you extend this special treatment to gays and homosexuals, well, you should extend it to incestuals, too! And I agree, Rob Portman is a spineless coward. If my son turned out to be gay, I wouldn't do anything to encourage it or make it okay; actually, I'd make fun of him, too. PUMA!

I oppose gay marriage on religious grounds. However, I don't think gays should be discriminated against or denied the financial benefits that straight couple gets from a long term relationship.

This whole issue should not be political. It's a personal or religious issue. It's up to God's court, for him to judge, not the Supremes courts area.

Marriage should be handled by organizations or churches. The government should only handle civil unions - for everyone.

Everyone should be allowed one civil union - with any one. This would allow for inheritance, healthcare, access, etc. One could have a civil union with anyone including family members.

The government should not be in the marriage business.

Gay marriage (which I also don't support) is like anything else with these republicans. They take this hard-assed stance until it involves them or their family.

They continuously slam programs that help the middle class, food stamps, unemployment insurance, Social Security, Medicare, etc until they have to rely on those programs to survive, then their stance all of a sudden changes.

Another Union "yes" man with Perez...

It's time the news media stopped campaigning for gay marriage, most see some kind of civil union but not marriage, that is between and man and a women. Your polls need to get out of NY, CA, etc and in the real world.

“Sea Change – 58 percent of Americans support gay marriage.” - Byron Wolfie

There is no Sea Change.
Like Clintoncrat says, American's know that Marriage is the union of a man and a woman.
What American's want is for Gay Couples to have rights.
What the Pop Media wants is to Normalize that which isn't Normal.
If the Media would start to call it what it is, Garriage, then there would be 78% support for that and Gay Folk would get their rights much sooner. Then you would have a real Sea Change.

The reason Wolfie and the rest of the ABC crew keep pushing "Dry Water/Gay Marriage" is that they are required to push the normalization agenda.
They will not support Garriage even if that simple word gets the GiBLeT community their rights.

"Sea Change – 58 percent of Americans support gay marriage."

Oh puh-lease. Homosexuality has always been amongst us. As has incest and pedophilia. The idea that Americans are more open to equating these acts of sexual deviancy to our healthy, productive, meaningful marriages, that is, between one adult human male and one adult human female, unrelated by blood, is laughable. Seriously, what is "gay marriage" anyways? It's not marriage at all! It's just two guys going at it! That's like saying... incestual marriage. No it's not; that's just brother banging sister, or father banging daughter, or son banging mother, or brother banging brother, or sister banging sister... but whatever it is, it is definitely not marriage! Gay marriage... hah. Ridiculous. Totally deserving of ridicule. That is why today, I activate Operation Ridicule, Isolate and Marginalize Incestuals, Nyphophiliacs and Gays (Operation RIMING). Ridicule them! Ignore them! Marginalize them! They do it to us! They call us knuckle-draggers. They're the knuckle-draggers! Actually... more like pillow-eaters. They call us backwards. They're the ones backwards! They're the ones that like to wear their jeans with the zipper in the back. Hahaha, PUMA!
