THIS PUSH TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT IF YOU DON’T EMBRACE THE DIRTINESS THEY ARE RACIST OR BIGOT OR SOMETHING HAS NOT WORKED, EXCEPT FOR YOUR HIGHLY PAID ATHLETES AND MOVIE STARS WHO WOULD DO AND SAY ANYTHING TO KEEP THEIR MILLIONS.

Why do people agrue that “separate is not equal” when the suggestion of “civil union” equal rights is proposed. Blacks and Whites, Men and Women, are separate groups, but are equal under the law. There was not a push to redefine “Race” to define White is the same as Black, or “Women” were not redefined as “Men” in order to have equal rights under the law.
Why could the federal statutes not declare that “marriage and civil unions will be considered equal under the law”? Isn’t this really what the Gay Rights people want? Redefining the word Marriage, in itself, does not make gay people the same as heterosexual people. That is not going to happen, any more than Women will become Men, etc.. What is so magical about the label Marriage? I think this is the basis of the objection from most people, not the validity of same sex relationships under the law, but the thinking that redefining the meaning of a word will make the difference disappear. Make the law treat all legally bound couples equal under the law…..period…..problem solved!
By the way, if Marriage’s definition is changed to have no restriction, then it won’t be long before brothers, sisters, parents, and adult children, etc, will be wanting to be married in many cases for the economic benefits afforded to everyone else. This is another argument for making “legal civil unions” as the criteria for equal rights under the law. Make all existing marriages qualify for this definition, but leave the word “marriage” alone.

Why do the religious say that sin is natural but homosexuality is “unnatural” even though they consider it a sin?
I’m tired of people always going back to “GOD “GOD” “GOD” “IM RELIGIOUS”.. like are you really religious or are you just an ignorant person? because last time I checked Jesus said “love thy neighbor”. i have asked so many priests if god hates gays and they all tell me no..so everyone needs to stop being so ignorant and using god as an excuse for their own personal messed up issues and everyone needs to stop having their mind set into a time era from so long ago.

I’m still waiting for someone to give me a valid argument against gay marriage. Saying “Because it’s in the bible” is not a valid reason. I know it’s hard to wrap your minds around, but some people don’t believe in the same god you do. Shocking, I know. Some people DON’T EVEN BELIEVE IN GOD. Oh no! Something else that may be hard for you to believe: this country isn’t governed by Christianity. OH DEAR. So the statement “Because it’s in the bible” holds absolutely no water. People get married all the time who don’t believe in a god or religion, so what’s the big deal? I won’t even get into the fact that there are literally LISTS of all the things forbidden in the bible that make no sense today. What about the argument “Marriage is for a man and a woman to procreate.” What about couples who choose not to or are not able to have children? What about them? How would gay people being able to marry affect heterosexual couples in the slightest. NEWSFLASH: IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU.

There’s NO REASON that gay marriage should not be legalized. None.
