Oh please. Daily life requires a photo ID. You can't cash a check at a bank, get on a plane, purchase a firearm, buy alcohol, apply for a loan, get a marriage license, get a job, buy insurance, rent an apartment, rent a car, or even pick up held mail at a post office without a photo ID. You can't collect benefits from a local welfare office without a photo ID. Even Obama required attendees of his 2009 "victory party" to show a photo ID. Do you remember howls of outrage back then? I don't either.

Unless you live under a rock, you already have a photo ID. The most fundamental right and privilege of being an American citizen is voting. If showing a photo ID to buy booze isn't a big burden, then neither is protecting one of our most fundamental rights.

Only people who favor election fraud oppose voter ID.

All these States are doing is setting up hurdles and roadblocks for people NOT like you or me DEANBOB and PERPLEXED and SSNEWSOME2997. These 'voters' have either been registered and established in their precincts for years...or they follow the Federal Guidelines on registration. AND TO TOP IT OFF...over the past 1-2 decades of looking for 'voter fraud'....hardly any has ever been documented ANYWHERE in this nation. The GOP is simply trying to 'change the rules' to disenfranchise people who either have no 'photo ID's" or who are very poor or too elderly to go get them. This is nothing but 'changing the rules'...to benefit a Party that's base is becoming the minority...and they are trying to cheat and steal elections.

Oh the irony. Under the low-income, Lifeline discounted phone service program, the FCC authorized applicants to self-certify their eligibility for the program under penalty of perjury. No longer! In the Lifeline Reform order released February, 2012, the FCC, citing fraud and abuse in self-certification, now requires all applicants to provide documented proof of eligibility. So there is a need to document eligibility in order to get discounted phone service but, heck, it's not necessary to do so in order to safeguard the integrity of our electoral system?

BL: "And when one considers that the Department of Homeland Security has contracted for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition — much of it hollow points or for use in sniper rifles — for its 55,000 armed agents, plus 2,717 armored personnel carriers and 7,000 select fire “personal defense weapons,” it seems even more apparent that’s the goal. For perspective, 1.6 billion rounds is enough to fight the Iraq war for 20 years. It’s enough to shoot every American five times. It’s 28,000 tons, or the equivalent of three guided missile destroyers. It’s almost 30,000 target practice rounds per armed agent — but of course, because they are more expensive, hollow points are not used for target practice."

Posted by: CND FOX | March 18, 2013—If background checks are fine for the 2nd Amendment, why not Background checks for the 15th.

The first is about controlling people who love liberty; the second is about letting those who hate liberty maintain control.

Can't buy a gun before jumping through hoops.....but question if you are a citizen before you vote....that's disenfranchising people? Voter fraud is rampant in this country( see Ohio voter fraud)....just the way liberals want it.

CND Fox:How does requiring a photo ID---that is required for a lot of other things---to vote violate anyone's right? Everyone has access to these photo ids. They are not parceled out based on one's race. Do you complain when you have to show one to enter a government office? Do you complain when a business requires one for proof that you are who you say you are? Do you think that we should allow anyone to vote regardless of whether they qualify legally? How do we ascertain that they are who they claim to be with any degree of credibility?

Candy won't answer that question, at least logically.
You probably will get a messenger attack.
