The Obama administration has done a lot to increase jobs. And a lot more would have been done if the House Republicans hadn't blocked real job bills, while they touted their phony job bills. Read! As for those jobs that were supposed to be shovel ready, blame the governors who claimed they were when they asked for federal dollars. We have a minor spending problem but a bigger revenue problem. commonsenseparty, keep pulling the wool over your eyes!

Even now they are more focused on gun control than anything. They focused on unwanted Obamacare while the housing market, economy and jobs were left with token programs that didn't work. Teachers, Fireman, Police and highway workers are state jobs and the states are required by law to balance and the easiest way is cutting payroll. Again, a fundamental understanding of why those jobs were cut is needed before you try and engage in debate. Putting us on a sound fiscal path is just as important for long term success than simply arbitrarily using more credit to open up infrastructure jobs (and those supposed shovel ready jobs that Obama siad weren't really shovel ready). We have a spending problem and you need to wake up to that. Librarian53 | March 12, 2013, 8:32 am —-This whole administration hasn’t focused on jobs in over 4 years. I took a minimum wage job in high school. Every year (and sometimes twice per year) I got a raise. It's called merit and hard work. If you are a lazy worker, you don't get a raise or you get a smaller raise. We can't rely on our government to force companies to pay workers more just because people do not like the minumum wage. Do you really want our government telling businesses how much they are required to pay their employees? How many people do you know that worked their way from minimum wage to management? I know many. They appear to be determined to hurt our economy. Once again, Republican leadership refuses to focus on creating jobs, but instead wants to cut teacher, police, firemen, highway workers, etc. jobs. This creates a race to the bottom as the moral businessman is then forced to either conform or go out of business. This race to the bottom hurts our economy as it leaves less people earning enough to actually buy many goods and services. Ryan's budget reflects the selfish businessman's morals and inability to see the big picture.... that laying people off and paying people less than a living wage hurts the whole economy tremendously, creates more need for government services like food stamps, medicaid as well as decreasing the revenue we need to balance the budget. Ryan doesn't understand how the economy works. Ryan is a number one taker. His main aim in life is to destroy the middle class and poor, enrich the richest and foist his extreme social values on this country. The GOP lost and will never win another presidential election if this nonsense continues. He has never held a real job and has lived off the dole for his entire adult life. He has no trouble accepting the salary and benefits we provide but will deny them to others. Ryan and his ideas are from another century and different planet. This is a budget? Democrats' mindset is that they feel they are entitled to have a job regardless of their qualifications and make a living wage regardless of their performance or value to their employer. Where do you guys come up with this crap? Tmferetti said; “These republicans have a mindset that says that they have their jobs because some employer felt sorry for them. This budget yet again “assumes” they’ll repeal HCR. It does not balance the budget. Etc. Etc. There is nothing real about it. At what point will the cons get off their rear ends and do a real budget? At what point will their base grasp their tricks? This is getting beyond ignorant people. They’re getting paid for stupid up there. Posted by: marzipan | March 11, 2013, 10:32 pm 10:32 pm Exactly.
