Vice President Joe Biden’s political Twitter account is back in action today as Democrats rev up for the 2014 campaign.
Starting today, the Democratic National Committee will use the vice president’s handle @JoeBiden to boost Democratic candidates in the midterm elections.
“@JoeBiden will be another way for the Vice President to engage our supporters, spread the Democratic message and support our candidates heading into the midterm elections,” a DNC official said today.
The VP himself tweeted a message from the revived account this morning.
Dusting off the Twitter handle for a big midterm election year. Let’s get to it, folks! -Joe

All tweets coming from Biden will include a signature of “-Joe.” Prior to today, the account’s most recent tweet was made in January 2013.
Biden maintains an official Twitter presence at the handle @VP, where his office tweets regularly about the vice president’s events.
