One last Titanic note for now…yes, the pull on the imagination seems never-ending (thanks for the note, Chuck). The New York Times ran an editorial this morning that was longer than the AP copy they excerpted yesterday.

And thank you, Ned, for referring to the New York Times’ editorial. I think the writer was especially perceptive in the observation that “despite all the technical knowledge we have gained about the sinking of the Titanic, we are still looking for a moral knowledge about that night.” To me, that’s the essence of the Titanic’s continuing fascination.
