Hollywood Writers Launch Strike TV

The writer’s strike has been over for a long time now, but some of the businesses that formed during the strike are just  getting up and running.

Take Strike.tv.

The site that was founded by a group of Hollywood writers, directors and actors back in January , and it  officially launched Oct . 28.  The New Media Minute explains what it will take for Strike.tv to  succeed.

In this week’s edition, you’ll also learn what men and women are reading online, according to the findings of a recent USC study. And don’t forget to check out the comedy site Rooftopcomedy.com this week, because I’ll be a guest editor!

Daisy Whitney is a reporter for TelevisionWeek and the host and creator of the weekly Web show “The New Media Minute” on the business of online video. You can and should follow her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/DaisyWhitney, where she holds regular contests for Web video creators to have their work reviewed in TVWeek.

Thx
