It’s the economy, stupid.

The economy is the big news these days, so that’s what we focused on in “The New Media Minute,” this week, asking a venture capitalist, a broadcast network executive and a leading talent agent how they expect their businesses will change in the months ahead.

You’ll get details on how venture capitalists at Canaan Partners are determining which companies to fund these days (yes, they still have money to dole out), how television networks like ABC.com are managing their online video programming for the year to come and what Web creators should do as they tighten their belts, according to a digital agent at ICM.

Daisy Whitney is a reporter for TelevisionWeek and the host and creator of the weekly Web show The New Media Minute on the business of online video. You can and should follow her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/DaisyWhitney, where she holds regularly contests for Web video creators to have their work reviewed in TVWeek.
