YouTube Star Earns Six Figures

The high-pitched Web star Fred is raking in the bucks, earning a six-figure income from his YouTube videos, a Google-YouTube executive said at the OMMA Video conference.

Last week in New York executives in online video are gathering in New York to share insights on the industry.

Fred and others are helping to push online video as a category to command 4 percent of all ad revenue. But don't expect online video to impact the television upfronts, where the networks try to get marketers to buy commercial airtime. Here's why in this week's New Media Minute by Daisy Whitney.

Great Story….Everyone is looking for a way to get pass that word called “Broke”! Someone has found that “B Plan” (a new found business right from home) that has moved pass their “A Plan” (a job). To have time on your hand to do something that you like and it’s fun…has got to feel great! We are all looking for that type of “Golden Goose or Cash Cow”. Great motivator…to share with people going through these tough economic times….

God I really dislike Fred, I don’t see why he appeals to anybody.

Good luck to him. If Fred is clever enough to do it then he deserves the rewards!

Fred proves why so many people are poor and will never really ever make anything out of their life. Fred goes out and just does it. He’s a doer. He tries stuff without predjudice whether or not he will fail. He doesn’t give himself a reason to give up before he even tries, which is what most people do – especially those who listen to people who are not successful.

Don’t like the the stuff Fred does. But, it pays the bills for him and he must be filling a niche, and very well too.

If people would get up and do something like this guy, there would be no need for welfare in the US. Love his initiative.

I’m happy for Fred. It’s good to see that the average person can do something to make some real money. I think that the internet has provided a way for average folks to become successful.
