Web Video Start-Ups Get Venture Funding
Venture capitalists are still opening their wallets for Web video start-ups.
The online video site and syndication service 5min.com, which specializes in how-to videos, recently scored $7.5 million in venture capital in its second round of fundraising.
Daisy Whitney explains in the “New Media Minute” why this investment is not about the content but rather about 5min’s technology. Indeed, venture funding is flowing toward tech firms exclusively, Whitney reports, to companies like TubeMogul.
You’ll hear from the “New Media Minute’s” New York correspondent, the Resident, on how TubeMogul can help businesses and Web producers.
