Media Exec: Future of TV Is International

International expansion is going to be vital to the growth of the cable and network TV business over the next several years, according to Daisy Whitney’s New Media Minute report from the National Association of Television Program Executives conference in Las Vegas.

She interviewed Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav, who talked about the opportunities in markets such as India, Russia and Romania.

He explained why TV companies should focus resources there. Also in this week’s Minute, Daisy spoke to the digital head at top-rated cable network USA about how to best extend a TV show to the Web.
