Demand copies if pooling together. The “greediest” people are the ones with the most money and material things. If someone has 1 Mil, they want more millions, no matter who they must con and rob to get it. Example: Bernie Madoff, Politicians, Big Corporations, Unions, Wall Street, Banks, Very Rich People, Millionaires, Billionaires, People who inherit alot of money, etc.

The RIGHT thing to have done was to share the bounty. That would have been a strong bond built between these hard working men, something worth much more in the long run. So, he now has his 4 mill, but probably lost his buddies. Walking up to his buddies and saying WE WON! could have been a great moment in all of their lives. I noted at least two of them had Hispanic names and I imagine the others do as well. What a great chance to build a lifelong relationship, so often found in latino communities, based on a very special moment. Too bad…

I collect the money for our lottery pool at work, and I always scan the tickets, and email a copy to each player.

FranklinBasil – And what if he took their money and bought tickets, but didn’t contribute at all himself. If I was one of the other guys I would try to find out exactly how many tickets he bought that day. They could maybe get all the money and leave Mr. Lopes with nothing!

We had a group between 15 & 20 people, weekly we’d group our money and buy tickets. The name of each person was listed with the tickets bought and everyone received a copy. Though we never won millions, we never had any problems.
He should not have lied. He had 4 million he didn’t have before!

FranklinBasil, it works both ways. He is at fault for not providing the copies of the tickets, thus he had to share!

And what if he bought extra ticket(s) that day? Sorry but if the other idiots didn’t get copies of the tickets bought with the pool I’d say they are out of luck. That’s their fault.
