It's Apple's own Thanksgiving tradition: announce that there will be Black Friday sales at Apple stores, but don't actually say what those sales will be.
Apple teased its Black Friday sale in an email to customers earlier this week, revealing only that online sales will start at midnight PT Nov. 23. Stores will open early at 7 a.m. local time Friday.
But Apple stores aren't the only places you will be able to save on iPads, iPods and MacBooks Friday. Below are a few of the best Apple Black Friday deals at other retailers. We will update this post when Apple announces its own sales.
Sorry, no big iPhone 5 deals, but there are a few good iPhone 4 deals.
Target will have the iPhone 4S for Virgin Mobile with no contract for $499.99 and a free $100 Target gift card.
Best Buy will have the 8GB iPhone 4 with a two-year contract for just $1.
Most of these iPad deals have the iPad staying at the regular retail price. But a number of places are offering free gift cards in the box.
Target will have the iPad with retina display for its usual $499.99 price and the iPad 2 for $399, but both are included in a $60 Target gift card.
Walmart has a similar deal. The iPad 2 comes with a $75 Walmart gift card.
Best Buy, on the other hand, is offering a special online door-buster: the iPad with Retina for $499.99 but then a $60 discount.
Best Buy will have the new iPod touch for $294.99. It is usually $299.99.
There are a few deals on the previous generation 16GB iPod Touch. Radioshack will have the 16GB iPod Touch for $199.99. Walmart will have it for $195. Target will have it for $195 and with a free $40 Target gift card.
Apple TV Sales
Best Buy is knocking 10 bucks off the Apple TV: It will be $89.99 on Black Friday. It will also have a $100 iTunes Gift card for $80.
MacBook Laptop Sales
MacMall is offering the 13-inch MacBook Air for as low as $1,097.98. It usually starts at $1,200. It'll also have the new 13.3-inch MacBook Pro with a retina display at $1,597.99. Check out MacMall's full list here.
