Is 'King of Pop' Facing Financial Squeeze?

‘King of Pop’ May Face Financial Squeeze

While in Las Vegas, the star went on another one of his famous sprees just two days before the most recent allegations of child molestation surfaced.

Las Vegas art dealer Barbara Lee Woollen said Jackson chose one of her gallery's pieces to add to his large collection.

"Jackson was not only a visitor to our gallery; he also purchased artwork. The sculpture was of a young boy with birds," Woolen said.

In addition to the star's love for shopping, his love for cosmetic work costs big bucks, too. Thursday's mug shot of Jackson clearly reveals extensive cosmetic work, which includes tattooed makeup.

Meanwhile, while his taste for the good life hasn't let up, his career has steadily declined. While estimates of Thriller's sales to date vary between 45 million and 51.2 million worldwide, Jackson's 2001 release, Invincible, sold only 6 to 7 million, and didn't cover production costs.

The small amount of play radio stations are giving his latest single, "One More Chance," indicates perhaps Jackson has run out of chances — and not only on the radio. The next stop for Jackson appears to be a long, messy and expensive court battle.

ABCNEWS' Jake Tapper and producer Mary Pflum produced this story for Good Morning America.
