The guest, Tony Lindsey - known on the show as "Crazy Tony" - was arrested late last year on charges he wore a gorilla suit to scare people on a freeway. Shannon reportedly cited the arrest as the impetus for the ban, adding that her show was family-oriented, according to celebrity website TMZ.
"If they want me back on the show, they're going to have to pay me," Lindsey told ABC News.
Shannon has previously been commended for her decisions she has made regarding the show.
The popular TLC series, a "Toddlers and Tiaras" spinoff, follows the life of child beauty queen Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and her family.
"Mama June has recently said she wants to bring the show back to being about the family, and center on family values," Charlotte Triggs, senior writer for People magazine, told ABC News.
Earlier this month, Shannon announced she was splitting the income from the blockbuster show into trust funds for her four daughters. The move drew praise from entertainment-industry watchers.
The Georgia mom has told TMZ that the reported $20,000 the family earns for each episode is being split into trust funds for her four daughters, money the girls can't touch until they turn 21, except to pay for school.
The self-proclaimed coupon queen said she is "never going to live above [her] means."
"I don't want, 10 years down the road, Alana or any of the other kids to be thinking, 'Oh, my God, I have nothing to show for it,'" Shannon recently told talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel.
