A mother was caught passing drugs to her imprisoned son with a kiss, officials said.
Kimberly Margeson, 54, was visiting her son last Tuesday at a New York state jail when she "passed oxycodone from her mouth to her son's mouth," the Yates County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Officials did not return calls seeking elaboration.

Her son, William Patridge, 30, was being held at the county jail on an unrelated felony weapons charge, according to The Associated Press.
"At about 1 p.m., Kimberly put oxycodone pills into her mouth and brought them into the jail," the sheriff's department wrote in its news release.
Margeson pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband, the AP reported, and was released on bail.
Attempts to reach Margeson by phone were unsuccessful.
Patridge will be arraigned on a charge of promoting prison contraband at his next regular court appearance, scheduled for Feb. 11, according to the sheriff's department.
