A lesbian couple who were denied a wedding cake by an Oregon bakery have accepted a sweet offer from "Ace of Cakes" star Duff Goldman.
The celebrity baker offered the brides-to-be a free wedding cake after they were shunned by an Oregon baker who said he does not serve same-sex marriages.
"I said, 'Hey I can fix this problem. Somebody was a jerk to them and I can bake them a cake. That's what I can do,'" Goldman told ABCNews.com last week.
Aaron Klein, who owns Sweet Cakes with his wife, Melissa, told ABC News affiliate KATU-TV he was living in accordance with his religious beliefs when he refused to make the couple a wedding cake.
"I honestly did not mean to hurt anybody, didn't mean to make anybody upset, [it's] just something I believe in very strongly," he said.
One of the women filed a complaint Jan. 28 with the Oregon Department of Justice, which is looking into the allegation.
The names of the women have not been released, however they issued a statement through their lawyer thanking friends, family members and the community for the "outpouring of support."
"We are especially thankful that LGBT-supportive companies have graciously offered their services to make our special day perfect," they said.
Goldman, who recently baked the cake for the inaugural ball, said he is happy to help.
"It involves cake, it involves love, marriage, all things I'm a big fan of," he said.
