Famous fans of famed movie critic Roger Ebert are reacting to the news of his death.
"Roger Ebert. Millions of thumbs up for you. RIP," Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore wrote on Twitter today.
That was echoed by Alyssa Milano - "Rest in peace, Roger Ebert! You were an inspiration" - and Tom Arnold - "I loved Roger Ebert. He was a fan of film. Smart and fair. Sad."

"The Office" star Rainn Wilson tweeted that he began watching Ebert in 1984, adding, "He was a good man & a fierce advocate for great film."
Holly Robinson Peete wrote, "All my prayers to Chaz -his beautiful and stoic wife."
Carson Daly also sent prayers out to Ebert's family. "SO FAST! Praying for his family," he tweeted.
"Finest person i've met in this industry. R.I.P. Roger Ebert A film critic with the soul of a poet," actress Annabella Sciorra wrote.
Darren Aronofsky tweeted, "We lost a thoughtful writer. I remember my first review from him. . . it was a career highlight."
Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody wrote, "R.I.P. Roger Ebert. It was a privilege to interact with you. Thank you for the support, the criticism, and the true love for the movies."
The Chicago Sun-Times reported Ebert's death earlier today, just a day after the Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic announced that he was taking a "leave of presence" after the "painful fracture" that made it difficult for him to walk turned out to be a cancer.
The announcement prompted reactions on Twitter, like this one from Steve Martin:"All best thoughts to Roger Ebert who's undergoing another battle. He's been a part of my life for my whole career."
Since 2002, Ebert endured several bouts with cancer, resulting in invasive surgeries that left him severely debilitated. In 2006, complications from thyroid cancer treatment took his jaw, stripping him of his ability to talk, eat and drink.
