What started as a traditional father/daughter walk down the aisle in Atherton, Calif., quickly turned into a surprise flash mob wedding dance to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."
The bride, Jesse Draper, 29, and her groom, Brian MacInnes, 31, led their wedding party, along with 100 of their 400 wedding guests, to bust a move to the 2012 hit.
"We got 100 of about 400 guests involved," Draper told GoodMorningAmerica.com. "It was really funny, but it was a very difficult thing to practice."
Draper planned the surprise by sending out a choreographed video to select guests three weeks in advance of the June 15 wedding.
"I sent out a top secret video link that a friend of mine who's a choreographer put together," Draper explained. "I sent it out to everyone telling them not to tell anyone else. I had husbands and wives not telling each other they were rehearsing."
The song, "Call Me Maybe," was hand chosen by the happy couple as a spoof to impersonate the way the groom asked Draper for her number when they first met.
"My husband asked for my digits, and he said, 'digits,' so it became this really funny thing," she said. "'Call Me Maybe' just seemed fitting for an interpretive dance."
The newlyweds just got back from their honeymoon to the South of France and say their wedding day couldn't have been any more perfect.
"It was such a special day," Draper said. "We just tried to think outside the box for the whole wedding. People were confused and surprised the whole time."
