Never underestimate the power of an Aussie.

She may be the second-highest-paid model in the world, but Miranda Kerr is perhaps number one in ambition.

Nearly 20 years into her career, the Australian beauty continues to be a familiar face on the catwalk and just last summer launched her certified-organic skincare line, Kora.

Kerr, 30, appears on the November cover of Cosmopolitan and in an exclusive interview with the magazine, the Victoria's Secret angel revealed some of her own secrets on life, love and sexy underwear.

The first trick of the trade: Love yourself. This, Kerr confessed, she learned the hard way. In spite of her success in the modeling world, Kerr described a fashion industry plagued with rejection and insecurities.

"Models are some of the most insecure people I've ever met." she said. "They're constantly being told they're not good enough. You've really got to practice loving yourself."

Next on her list, Kerr advised followers to be driven.

"I'm a lot stronger than people think," Kerr told Cosmo. "I started my own company, invested my own money in it, and have been involved in every facet. I'm that person who says, no matter what the problem is, there's a solution. That's the way my brain is wired. If someone says to me, 'Well, that's not possible. It can't happen,' I say, 'Yes it is. I'm going to sit here and show you that it can.' I can take no for an answer and accept it - but if there's a solution and I can make it work, why wouldn't I?"

Kerr's determination translates in her relationship with famous hubby, Orlando Bloom. In the interview, Kerr dished on the how she keeps her marriage hot with a sexy toolkit that includes a silk robe, red lipstick and, of course, sexy underwear.

"When I get home, I'm not the boss like I am at work - I slip into a more feminine role," she conceded, "I take everything off and put on my Stella McCartney silk robe. I'll put on a red lip or red nails, and it lifts my mood. Sexy underwear also gives you a spark. I collect underwear from my travels. Lace, lingerie, bodysuits … they're like souvenirs."

Last, but certainly not least, Kerr's advice to women looking to match her success in life and love: Choose a guy you respect.

"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in 'Romeo and Juliet,' I was blown away," Kerr said. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week - I have so much respect for him. We don't run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk."

There's no doubt about it. This Aussie means business - in more ways than one.
