Gleeks will have to say goodbye to their favorite show next season.
"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy told reporters last night in Beverly Hills that the sixth season of the hit show would be its last and that Cory Monteith's untimely death would affect how the series ends, TV line reports.
Monteith played Finn Hudson on the show and died of a mix of alcohol and heroin in his Vancouver hotel on July 13.
"The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn's story," he explained. "I always knew that, I always knew how it would end. I knew what the last shot was, he was in it. I knew what the last line was, she said it to him."
Murphy added that since his death, the creatives behind the show have been trying to think of an alternate ending.
"So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we're figuring that out now," he added.
Murphy closed by saying he had an idea that should honor Monteith, which he is pitching to the studio and the network next week.
