Paula Abdul says her trip to Israel has been magnificent.
In fact, the former "American Idol" judge, 51, is planning to have a Bat Mitzvah, the Jewish coming of age ceremony for pre-teen girls, there.
"Beyond being Jewish, I've always found myself to be very much in tune with spirituality," she told The Associated Press. "I feel very grateful coming to Israel now, where as a woman I know who I am a lot more than even 10 years ago."
Abdul, who has relished traveling around the country as a "regular tourist," is an official guest of Israel's ministry of tourism and has even met with President Shimon Peres.
"I've traveled the world touring and things like that but I don't get the chance to see much of wherever I'm at," she said. "[This visit has been] the most magnificent trip I've ever taken … magical and emotional."
The former "X-Factor" judge, who will appear as a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" in Australia next year, said that outside of her faith, her passion still lies in dance. However, don't expect to see her twerking like Miley Cyrus any time soon.
"I think when girls dance, they should be girls," she said. "I don't find it the most attractive kind of dance. My Chihuahua can twerk and stick her tongue out at the same time too."
