A Massillon man is due back in court for arraignment in the shooting death of his wife in a hospital ICU.
A caller to a 911 dispatcher says people responding to what they thought was a problem with an oxygen tank in a patient's Ohio hospital room discovered a man dressed in black with a gun — then they realized the noise was a shot.
The emergency call came from an Akron hospital where police believe 66-year-old John Wise calmly walked into the facility and shot his wife, Barbara, in the head.
A municipal court judge has set bond at $1 million for Wise on an aggravated attempted murder charge. He's due back for arraignment on Wednesday morning.
The 911 recording was released on Tuesday.
