Meadow Soprano is getting married.
This week, Jamie-Lynn Sigler announced on Twitter that she's engaged to boyfriend Cutter Dykstra. The Washington Nationals minor-league infielder popped the question to the former "Sopranos" star and the couple shared a photo of the ring on Twitter.
"So this just happened . . . " Sigler tweeted with a photo of her wearing the ring.
"She said yes!!" Dykstra tweeted.
The couple went public last March, and at 23, Dkystra is eight years younger than the 31-year-old actress. This will be the second marriage for Sigler, who was married to her manager A.J. DiScala from 2003 to 2005. This will be the first marriage for Dkystra, who is the son of former MLB player Lenny Dykstra.
Sigler's not the only star dating down (in terms of age, of course). Click through to see other famous faces who've recently gotten together with someone much younger.
When Jennifer Lopez split from Marc Anthony in 2011 after seven years of marriage, she fell into the arms of backup dancer Casper Smart. The 43-year-old singer said 25-year-old Smart helped her heal after the divorce, but she's also aware of the attention they get for their 18 year age difference.
"I ask him, 'Why don't you go find a young girlfriend and get out of here? What do you want with me?'" Lopez told People magazine earlier this month. "And you think, 'How long is this gonna be?' You think, 'Okay, in 10 years I'm going to be like this and you're going to be like that' and … men at that age are … I think all different things. The truth is we don't know what's going to happen. We're loving this moment right now. We make each other happy."
Alec Baldwin tied the knot with Hilaria Thomas last summer. Thomas, a yoga instructor, is 26 years younger than the "30 Rock" star. The wedding was the first for Thomas and the second for 54-year-old Baldwin.
The couple met at a restaurant in New York City. "I was standing near the door with my friends when he walked up and took my hand and said, 'I must know you,' " Thomas told the New York Times.
Thomas said she didn't know who Baldwin was and was more worried about their age difference.
But age doesn't seem to matter to Baldwin. The actor is very open about his love for Thomas and last summer he shared an intimate photo on Twitter from their wedding.
"My 8000th tweet is a smile to @hilariabaldwin," Baldwin tweeted along with the photo which shows the couple gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.
Both Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon admit to being impulsive when they married just weeks after they started dating. Cannon, 11 years younger, proposed to Carey in the Moroccan room of her home and the couple tied the night in the Bahamas in 2008.
But the couple has remained rock solid. Carey, 42, gave birth to twins, Monroe and Moroccan, in 2011 and she and Cannon, 32, renewed their vows last summer at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
In 2010, Cannon told George Lopez on his talk show "Lopez Tonight" that he has always been "a little attracted to women that were a little older than me."
"I even lost my virginity to an older lady," he said. "She was in high school and I was in junior high."
George Clooney has dated a long list of beautiful, young women in Hollywood so it wasn't a surprise that he fell for 5-foot-11 blonde beauty Stacy Keibler in 2011.
Clooney's sister, Adelia Zeidler, told the New York Daily News late last year that her 51-year-old brother most likely will never get married again (he was married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993). But for now, Keibler, a former WWE star, isn't rushing to get down the aisle either.
"That is not on my radar at all," 33-year-old Keibler told E! News last October. "I'm definitely the girl who doesn't talk about that kind of stuff. I'm not really interested in thinking about marriage or kids at all."
The couple appears to be living in the moment, hitting big Hollywood events like the Golden Globes and hitting fancy vacation spots like Mexico and the actor's villa in Lake Como, Italy.
