Everyone loves a good underdog story and as the NCAA men's basketball tournament kicks off with the Final Four Saturday night, the team currently carrying that title is formerly unknown Wichita State University.
Even Wichita State's star player Carl Hall hadn't heard of the team till they recruited him.
"I knew nothing about Wichita state. I had to Google it. See how big the city was," Hall told reporters. "When I first heard the word 'Wichita,' I'm thinking a small country town. People walk around with cowboy boots on."
The Wichita State Shockers will have to face a formidable foe in the basketball powerhouse, No. 1 seed University of Louisville's Cardinals as they attempt to make it to the championship game.
But it hasn't always been an easy ride for teams in the Final Four.
Last week, Louisville sophomore Kevin Ware sustained a gruesome broken leg playing in last week's game.
As Ware was being carried from the court, he told his teammates to win the game for him and they did. Now the Cardinals are showing their support for their teammate as they attempt to reach the final championship game.
When the team takes the court in Atlanta's Georgia Dome on Saturday night, they will be wearing warm up shirts emblazoned with the slogan "#Get Well Ware."
Ware, who is from Atlanta, will be on hand to cheer his teammates on from the sidelines.
The team even received a call from Michelle Obama to wish them luck during the tournament.
"I'm just glad to know Kevin Ware now even more because he's probably the most famous person I know," Louisville guard Peyton Siva told the Associated Press. "You know, when you have Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama call you, it's pretty good to say you know that person."
The other teams playing in a Final Four championship game are Michigan versus Syracuse.
