The questions continue on whether Lamar Odom, 33, has been to rehab, will go to rehab, and what affect his arrest and other alleged drug issues are having on his marriage to Khloe Kardashian Odom, 29. The only thing that's definite is the couple, married since 2009, has been through its fair share of tragedy and drama. From "Khloe & Lamar" to his professional decline and unwanted trade to Dallas, the couple has been there for each other through thick and thin. Here's a look back at what the reality stars have endured since meeting four years ago.
Lamar Odom met Khloe Kardashian in September 2009 and the couple married in Beverly Hills only a few weeks later. It was a star-studded event with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, Kobe Bryant and all the Kardashians in attendance. "They're very, very happy," Khloe's sister Kim Kardashian told People magazine. "They are literally inseparable." The wedding was featured on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Odom's first real taste of the reality TV lifestyle.
In July 2011, Lamar had to attend a funeral for his 24-year-old cousin, who he said was murdered. The very next day, Odom was in an SUV when it hit a motorcycle that lost control and hit a 15-year-old pedestrian, who died from head injuries. Odom was noticeably shaken when he spoke to the LA Times, saying, "Death always seems to be around me." He added: "I've been burying people for a long time." Khloe was right by his side the whole time, even tweeting "My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering ... Pray 4all of the angels surrounding us constantly."
At the end of 2011, Odom was very open about the fact he wasn't happy that the Lakers traded him to Dallas. Khloe followed him to the Lone Star State, but he was never happy in Dallas. A few months into his stint there, he left the team. "The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team," Odom said in a statement to ESPN.com. Shortly after, the couple moved together again back to Los Angeles, making sure not to be apart for an extended amount of time.
Khloe and Lamar have been together four years and while sister Kourtney Kardashian has two children of her own, Khloe has yet to cross that bridge. In 2012, her show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" ran an episode where she and Kim go to a fertility doctor, who told Khloe she hadn't ovulated that month, which fuels further fertility issues. "It's so hard. I never knew about ovulation and the limited amount of time you have to get pregnant," she said during an appearance on the "Today Show."
Lamar Odom and Khloe's family have been close from the start. Not only did she move to Dallas with his after he was traded to the Mavs, Odom was adamant about having his brother-in-law Rob Kardashian move in with them when he was struggling professionally. Khloe also pushed Lamar in 2011 to reconnect with his estranged father. "I have such a soft spot for dads, I mean I lost my father and I wish every single day I could say one last thing to him," she said on "Khloe & Lamar." "I don't want Lamar to feel the regret I feel."
In addition to a hit show on E!, Khloe and Lamar Odom created Unbreakable, a new fragrance sold at Perfumania. "Born out of Khloe and Lamar's shared intimacy, Unbreakable is an expression of the couple's belief that there is nothing more personal than scent," says the perfume's website. "My teammates know that I have a love for cologne," Odom said in a promotional video for Unbreakable. "Creating a fragrance is something I always wanted to do."
After two popular seasons, Khloe Kardashian said that "Khloe & Lamar" would be on an indefinite hiatus. "Lamar and I have just chosen to take a break this summer," she told ET. "I feel like we've been on a whirlwind. ... We have a lot on our plate right now." Toward the end of the year, she also gives up her hosting on "X Factor," again citing being too busy.
After a summer of rumored drug abuse swirling around Lamar Odom, he was arrested on Aug. 30 for suspicion of driving under the influence at 3:54 a.m. in Los Angeles. California Highway Patrol stopped him on U.S. Route 101 showing "objective signs of intoxications." Two days after his arrest, Khloe tweeted, "As much as I wish I were made of steel... I'm not."
On Wednesday, it was reported by People magazine that Lamar checked himself into rehab less than a week after his arrest for suspicion of DUI. But the next day, it was also reported by the magazine he had already left after just one day. Reports have the Kardashian family urging Odom to get help for any potential drug habits. Lamar and Khloe have been through a lot in the past four years, but can they survive if he doesn't seek treatment?
