Chris Brown is a free man.
Although the singer and his bodyguard were originally arrested and charged with felony assault stemming from an alleged Oct. 27 altercation outside a Washington, D.C., hotel, a judge today reduced the charge to a misdemeanor assault and released the two on their own recognizance.
Brown, 24, and his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, 35, allegedly attacked Isaac Adams Parker, 20, after he tried to get into a photograph with two other individuals.
According to a police report obtained by ABC News, Brown allegedly said, "I'm not down with that gay s***t. ... I feel like boxing," before allegedly punching Parker in the face. Hollosy allegedly did the same, according to the report, and both were charged with felony assault and jailed until earlier today.
The two men have been ordered to stay 100 yards from Parker, who was briefly hospitalized for swelling and bruises. The judge also ordered Brown to report in person to his probation officer in California within 48 hours. (The Grammy winner is still on probation stemming from his 2009 attack on singer Rihanna.) Both men are due back in D.C. Superior Court Nov. 25 at 10 a.m.
