Miley Cyrus may have done it again, stunning fans with her new video for "Adore You," where she's seen in bed, wearing nothing but a bra and panties, rubbing her hands all over her body.
This video is just the latest shocking moment for Cyrus, which includes her videos for "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop" and her VMAs performance earlier this year.
It's hard to imagine Cyrus, 21, was once a child star with a squeaky clean image on "Hannah Montana." Take a look back at the evolution of Cyrus from her big break in 2006 to her discovery of the twerk in 2013.
Miley's breakthrough came at just 13 years old when "Hannah Montana" premiered March 24, 2006. What came next was superstardom and even a "Hannah Montana" movie in 2009. Also, Cyrus' soundtracks to the successful series regularly debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
At just 15 years old, Cyrus took part in an Annie Leibovitz photo shoot for her Vanity Fair interview, one where a semi topless photo of the singer/actress emerged, showing her bare back. At the time, Cyrus said she felt "so embarrassed" and "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."
Also around this time, photos of Miley flashing her bra at the camera emerged, possibly showing signs of things to come.
Around the end of 2009, photos of Cyrus with the tattoo "just breathe" under the left side of her chest started popping up all over the Internet. She was just 17. Now, Cyrus has more than 20 tattoos, including "Love" in her ear and a dream catcher on her right side.
In May of 2010, Cyrus released her third studio album, "Can't Be Tamed," which started her real departure from the old "Hannah Montana" image, right after the show officially wrapped for good.
In the video, Cyrus spreads her wings and emerges like a caged bird, who is just now breaking free. It was reminiscent of Britney Spears' "I'm a Slave 4 U," another song that showed a pop star breaking free from a squeaky clean image.
Toward the end of 2012, Cyrus wanted a new look to go along with her planned new image, so she chopped off her hair. With her blonde hair now super short, Miley tweeted "Never felt more me in my whole life." Little did we know what was to come next.
The lead single from her new album "Bangerz," peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts and definitely showed a new Miley was here to stay. In "We can't Stop," Miley sports a gold grill, provocative attire, twerks and parties all night.
In "Wrecking Ball," Cyrus goes nude for some of the scenes.
In August, Cyrus stunned audiences at the MTV Music Video Awards. She gave a provocative performance that involved twerking and running a foam finger along her body.
The weirdness turned into raunchy when Robin Thicke appeared on stage to perform "Blurred Lines." Cyrus remained on stage to sing backup vocals and ran a foam finger along her private parts with some major pelvic thrusts. At one point, Cyrus appeared to be nuzzling Thicke's neck. But the most talked-about moment came when Cyrus bent down in front of Thicke and gave him the mother of all twerks.
