US Is Trolling the Chinese Embassy in DC

Washington is taking a more in-your-face approach in China's human rights issue.

— -- During meetings in Beijing this week, Secretary of State John Kerry has been urging the communist nation to improve its abysmal human rights record. But back in Washington, activists and members of Congress are taking a more in-your-face approach: trying to get Kerry to rename the street outside the Chinese embassy in Washington after jailed activist Liu Xiaobo, a symbolic move that would be a daily reminder to China’s US representatives – but one that some fear could unnecessarily provoke the Pacific giant just as the US is trying to get the relationship back on track.
