Kanye West Denies Feud: ‘I Did Not Dis Taylor Swift’
Taylor Swift took issue with the lyrics in West’s new song, “Famous.”
— -- Kanye West hosted a family affair at New York Fashion Week last night, showing off his latest Yeezy collection and releasing tracks from his new album, "The Life of Pablo" at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Kayne's brother-in-law Lamar Odom was at the fashion event -- his first public appearance since his near-fatal overdose last year -- along with Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner.
But one person who was not impressed with the proceedings was Taylor Swift, who took issue with the lyrics in West’s new song, “Famous." In the song, the rapper alludes to the possibility of a sexual encounter with the pop star.
Still, Kanye took to Twitter this morning to address the budding controversy. The rapper said that his lyric wasn't meant to disrespect the pop star. In fact, he claims the lyric was Taylor's idea.
Swift’s spokesperson told ABC News that "Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong, misogynistic message.”
