— -- As if the quick step isn't tough enough already, let's go ahead and throw in some Cirque du Soleil-style acrobatics. An evil genius decision from Len Goodman? We don't know, but the contestants on season 23 of "Dancing With the Stars" are headed into Cirque week, and for James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess that means a trip to the Great White Way.

Hinchcliffe and Burgess were tasked with theming their dance to "Paramour," Cirque du Soleil's first foray onto Broadway.

The Indy racer and his partner flew to New York and got a backstage sneak peek at the high-flying Broadway production.

Speaking from inside the Lyric Theatre, Burgess said she credits the couple's consistently high scores to Hinchcliffe's split-second attention to detail (thanks to his career on the racetrack) and his work ethic.

Hinchcliffe deflected credit, reminding Burgess that she is an amazing teacher.

Despite flying across the country and enduring hours of rehearsal, the duo still found time for some fun and games.

Check out their very impressive pantomime skills when they played a round of "Heads Up!" in the live stream below.
