About The Screen Actors Guild Awards
The Screen Actors Guild Awards also known as the SAG Awards, is a yearly event being held by the Screen Actors Guild to honor performersin the movie industry. It presents awards for performances by individual actors, as well as an entire ensembles from drama series, comedy series, and motion picture casts. The SAG Awards also presents a Life Achievement Award. The voting body of the SAG awards consists of two randomly selected panels of 2,100 Screen Actors Guild members from across the United States. The statuette awarded to winners, called "The Actor" is a nude male figure holding both a mask of comedy and a mask of tragedy.
