7 people injured following latest in series of railway accidents raises questions about train safety
They were cargo trains, seven people injured. Those trains took out a highway overpass in the process. Here's gio benitez Reporter: The images from southern missouri are dramatic, cars caught in the middle of a mangled mess when two freight trains collided this morning. One train slammed into the other at an intersection. The trains derailed and a highway overpass came crashing down. Two cars traveling on that highway with five people on board came down with it. They were injured, along with two train conductors but incredibly tonight they are in good condition. This is the second major train crash in less than two weeks. Oh, my goodness. Reporter: May 17th two metro nocommuter trains crashed and derailed in bridgeport , connecticut , 72 people were injured.
