Inside the Company Once Synonymous with Aviation

Two years ago, the unthinkable happened: Airbus became the leader in world aircraft production and Boeing slipped to No. 2.

Today, however, Boeing is about to build the 787, the so-called Dreamliner.

Smaller and faster than the Airbus, the company is gambling on the huge plane that may carry 800 people. If the Dreamliner is a winner, history could change again.

As Bill Boeing said when he began, "Don't ever say it can't be done."
