After weeks of speculation about his alleged infidelity, Tori Spelling's husband Dean McDermott is in rehab, his rep confirmed to ABC News today.
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," he said via a statement.
McDermott, 47, continued, "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
Reports about McDermott's infidelity broke around the holidays, but Spelling hasn't publicly addressed the issue. She even blogged about her "beautiful family" after Christmas.
The mother of four took a moment on Christmas Day to post on her website a picture of her children posing in front of an ornately decorated tree, while wishing her fans, "Merry Christmas from the McDermotts."
"As another year comes to a close, I can't help but feel so grateful for all of my blessings," Spelling wrote. "My beautiful family, my amazing friends, and of course, all of you!"
Spelling and McDermott are parents to Liam, 6, Stella, 5, Hattie, 2, and Finn, 15 months.
Spelling also posted a picture after the New Year with her husband and four children.
"We rang in the New Year with (kid-friendly) cocktails, lots of yummy treats and some quality family time," Spelling wrote on her blog.
A request for comment from Spelling's rep was not immediately returned.
