Transcript for Lost Teen Hiker: 'I Ate Dirt and Rocks'
We have more now on that incredible survival story out of california. Those teens who got lost and separated on their first date hiking in the mountains rescued after days in the wilderness. For the first time we're hearing from the young girl and maybe plans for a second date. Abc's david wright has the latest. We need water, I don't -- listen, nick, I understand you need help. Reporter: On these 911 tapes, 19-year-old nick cendoya sounds panic and not coherent. We have fire -- you have a fire? I mean we have a lighter or something we can light something up. Reporter: He and 18-year-old kyndall jack argue about where exactly they are. Stop for one second. What is the address? I don't know. Reporter: But they don't seem to have much of a clue. Reporter: You have no flares, no flashlights anything like that? We have a flashlight on my phone. That's it. We neat water. Reporter: The 911 calls suggest they were pretty disoriented. Five minutes up there, we wanted to be in the clouds at the top. Reporter: By the end they were both hallucinating. We spot tigers. I was getting eaten by a python half the time. Acting like they were lost in the outback. I know I ate dirt, tried to eat dirt and I came to the hospital with a big mouth full of dirt and that was all i remember. Reporter: What's still not clear from their stories or from the 911 tapes is how their little day hike went so badly off track. Keep screaming for help or something then. Help. Reporter: For "good morning america," david wright, abc news, los angeles. What a story.
