Transcript for N. Korea Has Missile Fueled and on the Launch Pad
U.S. Officials believe the north koreans have a missile fueled and on the launchpad but so far no signs of a test and martha raddatz has been tracking it all through the night. It is so murky. Many expected it to have been launched by now. Reporter: They sure did. North korea is clearly trying to cause maximum anxiety, tension and uncertainty. U.S. Intelligence knows that a midrange missile is ready to be launched at any time and yet the north koreans seem to be playing a dangerous guessing game. Remember, this type of missile is mobile. It is on the back of a wheeled vehicle. They can raise the launcher. They can lower it and drive away and move it somewhere else, george. Talk about raising the tension, martha, a report out of south korea that the north koreans have said all they have to do is push a button to create a sea of fire. Reporter: That may be close to the truth. The u.S. Is still convinced north korea is going to test this missile or maybe more than one but fire it into the water in the western pacific. The fear, of course, is that something might go wrong. The missile does have a rank that could reach as far away as u.S. Bases in guam so everyone remains on high alert. If it went that way it might have to be shot down. Martha, thanks very much.
