Reporter: While the world has followed the duchess of cambridge's every fashion move, now wait for her to give birth to the royal heir, a new exhibit is showcasing another global fashion icon, princess diana and her fashion style. The exhibition is called fashion world. And it's being held here in the plush rooms of kensington palace, which is where william and kate will be bringing up their little royal heir. Throughout her life, princess diana became almost synonymous with glamour and fashion. And now, five dresses of hers, on display, give insight of what she wore when she started her style. THE COLORS OF THE '80s, ARE Big, and glamorous. Reporter: There this little star-studded number. A strapless midnight blue evening gown. VERY 1908s. And the skirt is made out of eight layers of tulle. It's glamorous, show-stopping dress. And she truly loved it because she wore it from 1986 right through 1997. Reporter: And among the selection, this dress by katherine walker, worn on a state visit to brazil in 1991. Walker became one of diana's favorite designers throughout the years. For the next two years, 21 dresses worn not only by diana, but the queen and sister margaret, will be on display here, showing their different styles and trends throughout the decades. As for kate, how will we judge her style in the future? She's only really been in the public eye for a couple of years.
