Transcript for September Jobs Report: Unemployment Falls to 7.8, 114,000 Jobs Added
Let's get right to their jobs news the latest report on unemployment showing surprising drop to seven point 8%. Back to levels we haven't seen since President Obama first took office because she's been Angela -- is here with the details good morning Leon. Take it ninety George -- 1141000. Jobs were added in the month of some -- that number we expected but the seven point 8% drop in unemployment. That is a significant drop because 8% it's a psychologically damaging number we were expecting unemployment rate to go up to eight point 2%. Georgia -- in that we had some upward revisions for both August and July so this all in -- it's a surprising and a relatively good reporting you know we're already seeing some commentators coming Jack Ross a former -- -- saying that these numbers might have been manipulated to help the president but that's -- -- and that's a dangerous and unfounded allegation Georgia and it that would be true there have been plenty of months -- -- -- for the president would have -- to manipulate these numbers as well so nothing can justify that allegation at least right now.
