What Are The Symptoms Of Generalized Anxiety Disorder?

Question: What are the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder?

Answer: Generalized anxiety disorder is a disorder characterized by excessive worry or fear, really out of proportion to the actual stressors of one's everyday life. So this degree or fear or worry tends to be accompanied by some other symptoms -- typically, irritability, change in sleep -- usually insomnia -- racing thoughts or preoccupation with worry, kind of on a loop in the mind, and some physical symptoms like gastrointestinal disturbance, headaches and muscle tension or a sense of being physically keyed-up.
