Fungal Meningitis Outbreak: 119 Cases, 11 Deaths

An eleventh person has died and 108 more have been sickened by a rare form of fungal meningitis, health officials said today. The outbreak of aspergillus meningitis has been linked to an injectable steroid, called methylprednisolone acetate, made by the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Mass.
